Many brides to be will wear a bathing suit under their clothes so they won’t have to deal with dressing rooms. These quick changing women will try on dress after dress right in the show room.
If chaos doesn’t bother you, you might consider this method for purchasing cheap wedding dresses. If you already know what style and brand of dress you want, these sales may be ideal for you. A word of caution – many stores carry sample dresses in just one or two sizes. A consignment shop is an excellent place in which to purchase a used wedding dress.
Consignment shops in upscale areas are more likely to have expensive designer dresses in stock, than those shops in less ritzy locations. Before purchasing a dress from a consignment shop, make sure you examine it thoroughly for damage and that any damage is easily repaired. It’s still dressy, though less formal than a wedding dress, but it’s easier to pack.
